I think my starter's bad.
When I hit the starter button, I get a single click, and then nothing happens. No lights, no power - nothing.
I read a short between the positive battery lead and ground UNLESS I disconnect the starter.
With the starter disconnected, all the lights work fine, and I still hear the click when I press the start button.
With the starter out, I read a short between its connecting terminal and the case. So, here are the questions:
1) Is the short NORMAL?
2) Are there other checks I should run before I settle on the starter?
3) If the starter is bad...anybody got one?
